A family business and a French institution, our House has dedicated itself to the noble craft of champagne-making since 1859. Champagne pioneers, Duval-Leroy has always been driven by a quest for high standards and innovation in every aspect of the business, from quality, consistency and certification through to partnerships with sommeliers and chefs. Following in the footsteps of Carol, our “lady of champagne”, her three sons Julien, Charles and Louis have now come on board to perpetuate the house spirit.Four individuals now forming an unwavering team, a melodious union that will guarantee collective excellence, a new commitment realised through promises and actions. Together, we produce champagnes that are the essence of finesse, lightness and elegance, champagnes that speak right to the heart of professionals and consumers alike. Champagnes that not only respect the terroir but exalt it. Champagnes that champion the French tradition of creativity whilst looking to the future with the next generation of passionate gourmets leading the world of gastronomy. Inspired by virtuosity, not clamour.

93 points, Stephan Reinhardt (Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate):
"The 2000 Femme de Champagne is another noble prestige cuvée of Duval-Leroy and, honestly, it is even finer, purer and more delicate than the tight and tension-full 1996. The purity, elegance and finesse is as obvious on the nose (russet apples, brioche, white chocolate, hazelnut, floral/herbal flavors) as on the palate where this medium to full-bodied wine leads to a firm and complex mineral finish of great persistence."

94 points, Alison Napjus (Wine Spectator Magazine):
"A rich version, with beautiful integration and mouthwatering acidity that seems to amplify the flavors of toasted raisin bread, black currant, candied orange zest and salted almond. Fresh and focused, showing hints of oyster shell and spice on the lasting finish. Disgorged September 2014. Drink now through 2030."
